THE University of the South Pacific Staff Union is still waiting for the Job Evaluation to be implemented for its Intermediate and Junior (I&J) and hourly paid staff.

USP Staff Union general secretary Litiana Waqalevu said they would write back to the USP management this week to once again raise its concerns.

Mrs Waqalevu said this time, they would give their employers an ultimatum to either implement the job evaluation or the staff union will go to court.

“The Job Evaluation report has been given to us and it’s in a mess. They (senior and management staff) received a $27million payout last year. This is an increase of 12 per cent in their salaries. The hourly paid and I&J staff have been waiting for so long but nothing is being done for them,” she said.

The union executives and members are dissatisfied with the continuous delays and silence in the request of a salary review.

The staff union has 330 members, comprising intermediate, junior and hourly-paid staff.

Questions regarding this have been sent to USP and a response is yet to be given.
