USP saga: CID interviews staff unit general secretary

University of the South Pacific staff unit general secretary Ilima Finiasi is being questioned this hour at the Police CID headquarters in Suva.

Mr Finiasi presented himself to the CID office in Toorak this afternoon.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed Mr Finiasi was being questioned over allegations of breaching national COVID-19 restrictions.

This morning, USP chief librarian Dr Elizabeth Reade-Fong also presented herself to CID to be interviewed over the same allegation.

She was later released.
