THE University of the South Pacific will be offering a new Doctor of Business Administration program in the new academic session next year.

This was confirmed by USP’s Head of Graduate School of Business (GSB) Professor Raghuvar Pathak who hopes the new program will be of great help in further empowering their graduates.

Professor Pathak made the announcement while celebrating the completion of the academic year for their students and Alumni with a public lecture at the USP: Japan-Pacific ICT Centre

He said the GSB had achieved many milestones over the past 22 years and a significant achievement in particular was their MBA program that was now internationally accredited and had been re-accredited by the London based Association of MBAs or AMBA.

Professor Pathak said their AMBA accreditation meant students received the highest standard of education and their qualifications were recognised by employers internationally.

AMBA chairperson Professor Bodo Schlegelmilch said the digital paradigm shifted fuels in an unprecedented speed of technological change with the introduction of robots, 3D printers, self-drive cars, holograms and drones, among many others.

Vodafone Fiji CEO Pradeep Lal said learning and experiences gained not only enabled professionals to carry out the roles assumed but to excel into managerial roles over the years effectively to meet the challenges of leading a dynamic organisation in a fast-paced industry.
