THE University of South Pacific (USP) has made alternative arrangements for its staff after one of the main buildings at its Laucala campus caught fire on Thursday night.

In a statement, USP had confirmed that the fire occurred at its Communications Building which houses the Student Administrative Services, Pacific Technical and Further Education and the Centre for Flexible Learning.

USP also confirmed that no student or staff of the University was injured or harmed at the time of the fire.

The National Fire Authority was at the site conducting preliminary investigations.
