THE University of the South Pacific (USP) says its essential student services are operating as normal.
This is after a fire engulfed the USP Communications Building at Laucala Campus on Thursday night.
The fire occurred at its Communications Building which houses the Student Administrative Services, Pacific Technical and Further Education and the Centre for Flexible Learning.
Admissions and Registrations
Admissions
All new undergraduate and postgraduate students are required to apply for programme admission online, following the University’s normal processes.
Pacific TAFE students applying for admission to programmes should go to the University’s Statham Campus.
Registrations
Registrations for Flexi School are to be done online.
Online registration for Semester 1, 2019 will be open soon.
Release of Courses Results
Results for assessment of courses for Semester 2 courses will be uploaded as planned.
Graduation Ceremonies
The graduation ceremonies to be held at Alafua in Samoa, and Emalus in Vanuatu will go ahead as scheduled.
The awards ceremony for Foundation students in Suva at this stage also will go ahead as scheduled. A further announcement will be made early next week.
In the case Certificates and transcripts are not available at these ceremonies; they will be posted to graduates at a later date.
Flexi-Schools
All Flexi-Schools will go ahead as planned. Students should contact Faculties for any enquiries.
