STUDENTS of Richmond Methodist Primary and Secondary schools in Kadavu now have 24 hours supply of electricity with the installation of solar hybrid power last week.

The project was funded by USA Kadavu, an organisation where Fijians from Kadavu living in the US donated money to help the people of Kadavu.

Chairperson of USA Kadavu Etuate Tora said the aim of the project was to give back to the people in Kadavu by helping toward its development.

“We want to help schools because the children are the future of Kadavu and will help towards the development of the island, “he said.

This is USA Kadavu’s second project since it started in 2016.

First project was the installation of solar at Kadavu Provincial High School in 2016.
