US donates $157k worth of equipment and supplies to RFMF

The United States of America today handed over equipment and supplies worth of $157,000 to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

US Ambassador to Fiji, Joseph Cella handed over items to the RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto at the RFMF’s strategic headquarters in Suva.

The items include generators, folding tables/chairs, tents, marquees , personal protective equipment, gloves , wipes , disinfectants, masks and hand sanitizers.

Mr Cella said he was honored to hand over the items to further enhance RFMF’s resilience with the hope that their partnership would continue in the years to come.

“Fiji’s resilience during TC Harold and the pandemic is on display through all that you did, complementing what the whole of government has done under their leadership,” he said.

Commander Naupoto said the items would enable the RFMF to continue its operations and ensure the safety of its personnel.
