The United States Department of State has directed its citizens not to travel to Fiji because of COVID-19-related restrictions.

This after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Level 1 Travel Health Notice for Fiji because of COVID-19.

“Commercial transportation to/from Fiji is not available or only sporadically available,” said the US State
Department in an advisory released on Tuesday.

“It may be difficult to enter or leave Fiji and travellers should expect delays entering Fiji, and or, returning to the United States.

“There are restrictions in place affecting US citizen entry into Fiji.

“US citizens who travel abroad should always have a contingency plan for emergency situations.”
