The Assistant Minister for Education Iliesa Vanawalu says when relevant stakeholders connect for the safe journey of every early childhood education student, each child will certainly excel at all levels of learning.

He made this comment while launching the 2023 National Early Childhood Education (ECE) week celebration at Nausori Primary School yesterday.

“When there is mutual understanding and connections between parents, teachers, communities, faith organisations, NGOs, partners in education, the ECE aged children at the centres will blossom to be the kind of product we dream to produce in our education system,” he said.

“The upbringing at home is important for parents to realise that early learning, building, nurturing and bridging connections matters to further stimulate confidence in every ECE child’s learning process.”

Mr Vanawalu said it was crucial that adults paved the right direction for ECE students throughout the learning centres they are presently in.

The weeklong celebration begins next Monday to Friday with the theme ‘Early Learning Matters: Learning through connections.’
