UNWTO delegates farewelled

DELEGATES from the United Nations World Tourism Organisation were farewelled last night by the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Investment at Sofitel Resort and Spa in Nadi.
The WTO officials and tourism stakeholders from Asia and the Pacific were hosted to a dinner by Minister for Tourism Faiyaz Koya.
He said Fiji’s cooperation with UNWTO and its member states was stronger than ever before.
He said Fiji planned to play host to more of UNWTO meetings, seminars and dialogues in the coming months if given the opportunity.
The members were in Nadi for the 30th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific and the UNWTO Commission for South Asia and UNWTO Regional Seminar on Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism Development.
