Cakaudrove Rugby Union has shifted its focus to this season’s Vodafone Vanua Championship in Taveuni as they aim to boost the 15s code on the Garden Island.

Team manager Taraiasi Wara said they have moved the camping.period to Lamini Village on Taveuni because they wanted to promote 15s rugby in various villages.

“Our players have always camped in Savusavu every year so this year we have shifted it because we also want to tap on  hidden talents on this island,” Wara said.

“Taveuni has always  been good with sevens rugby and they have won national.competitions so this time were focusing in 15s rugby.”

The team is also preparing for their first match next month against Nukuloa which will be held in Savusavu.
