Unhealthy lifestyle choices lead to NCDs

THE high number of NCD related illnesses and unhealthy lifestyle choices have led to an increase to health issues across the country.

This was the word from Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development (FRIEND) founder Shashi Kiran during the opening of the Improving Access to Holistic Health Care Services for People Living with NCDs symposium in Tuvu, Lautoka, this morning.

She said with about 50 per cent of the population living with anameia and a large proportion of children facing health issues due to poor diet.

Chief guest at the event is the national director for NCDs and Wellness Dr Isimeli Tukana.
