Unbeaten Junior Bati ready for Knights

UNBEATEN Junior Fiji Bati will play Newcastle Knights development squad on their Australian tour later today.

Fiji Secondary School Rugby League official Laisiasa Corerega said they will use the 30 minutes of match to gauge their performance.

The side recorded a 32-all draw against Canberra Raiders and a 24-14 win over ACT last weekend.

“The players will play in the 30 minutes of the match because we want to minimise the injuries and give more exposure to the boys,” he said.

Natabua High School duo Maika Bale and Jonathan look impressive in the side together with Viliame Vuloko from Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute.

“We had a church service for the players today (yesterday),” he added.

“The side went to the Canterbury Methodist Church and everyone is looking forward to the match.”

The team is coached by Meli Baledrokadroka.
