THE Fiji Schoolboys under-18 rugby side will resume camp this week in preparation for its tour to New Zealand later this month.
Team coach Elemaca Ravulo said the team had been in camp since the term two school holidays and the coaching panel and team management got to have a really good look at the boys.
“During the camp, we had a really good look at the skills, fitness and mentality of the players,” he said.
“We saw their attitude on and off the field and towards their fellow teammates.
“We also saw how the combinations worked out and how the players adjusted to their positions with players beside them.”
He said they only had one more week left to prepare for the tour.
“In this one-week camp, we will finalise our combinations and team structure.
“By the end of this week, the team would become a cohesive unit that will function well on the field.”
The national side will play Australia, New Zealand and New Zealand Barbarians during the tour from September 20 to October 4.
