THE Ratu Sukuna Memorial School U14 team will carry the hopes of the school as they embark on the national quarterfinals of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Deans Championship this weekend.

The Semi Radravu coached side is the only grade to qualify from the school to the nationals and their goal is to make their brothers and sisters in school proud when they represent their
school tomorrow.

Radravu said grooming the under-14 grade is tough because the coaches will need to find the right combination for a better side.

“Most of these boys have been playing in the Kaji rugby competition during their primary school in the past years but a challenge I faced was trying to blend these players with the new ones who are participating for the first time in a rugby competition.

“However it hasn’t stopped these young players from learning every day and training as a team to be a better team and they’ve proven that by emerging to the national quarter-finals on
Saturday,” said Radravu.

Radravu said it would be a special moment for these players as they debut in the Deans Championship this weekend.

“Every day during training and before every match was to give their best for the school and themselves and remember we are there for them throughout,” Radravu said.

The RSMS U14 team will take on Ratu Kadavulevu School in the first quarter-final at 8.20am.
