CHILDREN admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva had the opportunity to meet the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mellon crew today.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Serah Patanapaiboon said it was sad to see kids in hospital beds.

“We are super excited to be here today. We are really humble to be able to read to these kids and help in their garden, we just want to give back at anywhere we can and we are also excited to be here in Fiji,” she said.

“It is really sad to see these kids here, we are just here to try and uplift them and give them a little joy and smile.

The crew were also engaged in the cleaning up of the hospital garden.
