Two men dead in separate accidents

TWO men died yesterday after two separate accidents.
Police have confirmed that in the first case, a 40-year-old man died after he sustained serious injuries when the lock of a spare tyre casing snapped and hit his face.
The man was rushed to the Nadi Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The incident was reported in Waqadra, Nadi yesterday afternoon.
The second incident involved a farmer in his 30s from Nacomoto Village who died after the fibre glass boat he was travelling in collided with another boat.
The incident occurred after 1am at Muaisolo Bay, Naceva in Kadavu.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim was traveling on a boat operated by a 36-year-old man.
She adds that due to the impact of the collision the victim was thrown out of the boat and found 2 meters at the bottom of the sea.
Ms Naisoro said the suspect was alleged to have been traveling at very high speed when the accident occurred.
She said the suspect and three others that were traveling in the second boat are admitted at the Vunisea Hospital as investigations continue.
