TWO men are in custody at the Totogo Police Station in Suva after they were found at the weekend with substances believed to be drugs.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said a 64-year-old man from Lami was arrested by a team of officers on beat patrol near the Suva Library carpark last Saturday night.

She said a search conducted resulted in the seizure of two small clear bags of white crystal believed to be methamphetamine and a syringe.

Ms Naisoro said the second suspect, a 31-year-old gardener of Newtown, Nasinu, was also arrested by the same beat patrol team after he was found with 13 bullets of dried leaves inside a peanut butter container believed to be marijuana.

She said the seized substances had been sent for analysis as investigations continue.
