Twin brothers front court for allegedly threatening to kill Police officers

TWIN brothers charged with a count each of serious assault and resisting arrest appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Ratu Veiwili Loanakadavu and Ro Veidovi Loanakadavu, 22-years-old were granted a fresh bail of $500 each by Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili with two sureties who have signed a surety bond of $500 each.

Ratu Veiwili is also charged with one count of serious assault.

It is alleged that the two behaved in a disorderly manner in a public place at Victoria Parade.

It is also alleged that Ratu Veiwili assaulted a police officer in due execution of his duties.

The alleged incident occurred on December 14, 2018 in Suva.

Chief Magistrate Ratuvili has imposed a curfew on them from 8pm to 6am daily and they are to report to the Totogo Police Station.

The case has been adjourned to January 9, 2019.
