Double Olympian Jerry Tuwai and his wife Mereani Folau Tupou were both reminded about the importance of serving God in their marriage.

Fiji Airways 7s player Tuwai tied the knot with his long-time partner and mother of his children Mereani at the FMF Gymnasium yesterday.

Rev Tuikoro Kolinisau reminded the couple of their sacred matrimony and the importance of supporting each other.

Rev Kolinisau, who is the father of former Fiji 7s player and captain Osea Kolinisau, said with your marriage, remember to put God first in everything you do.

“Let God be the centre of your marriage and you will see everything will fall into place,” he said.

“As a husband you must love your wife and as a wife you must submit to your husband with the love you both have for each other will see your marriage thrive.

“With your talent as a player use it to spread the word of God to the millions of people that follow you.”

The wedding was attended by close family and friends of the couple.
