Trump wishes PNG well as APEC host

PORT MORESBY (POST COURIER) – US President Donald Trump has wished Papua New Guinea well in hosting APEC 2018
President Trump told the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Rimbink Pato how fantastic an event APEC in November was for PNG.
At a reception held in New York City,Trump said he wished PNG all the best in hosting this major event.
He said he would be well represented at the APEC Leaders’ Summit in November in Port Moresby by US Vice-President Mike Pence.
Both Pence and Karen Pence told Pato that they were both looking forward to being in PNG for the APEC meeting.
Pence, when he was Governor of Indiana, was closely involved in arranging a gift to PNG of a precious 400-year-old King James Bible.
The Bible is now in a place of honour in Parliament.
