Tropical Cyclone Solo will not affect Fiji

Update: 6:13PM THE Fiji Meteorological Service has assured the public that Tropical Cyclone Solo, a category 2 system, will not affect Fiji.
Director of Meteorology Ravind Kumar said as at 3pm today, the system was located 755 kilometres west of Port Vila, Vanuatu and approximately 1700 kilometres west of Nadi.
It is moving southeast at approximately 12 kilometres per hour.
Fijians can expect normal weather throughout the weekend.
Tropical Cyclone Solo is moving towards New Caledonia.
