Training hiccup for Labasa

LABASA football side official Varun Anand said bad weather had affected their preparation ahead of the match against Tavua in the 2018 Vodafone Premier League this weekend at Subrail Park.

Tavua, coming off a famous 1-0 victory against Nadi last weekend, will be determined to return with points as they travel to Vanua Levu to face Labasa and later Dreketi.

“Weather has not been on our side. It is not that we are not training but weather makes things difficult,” Anand said.

“Tavua, coming off a victory will be on a high and will not be an easy match for us. They beat Nadi who had beaten us and overall it will be an interesting match. So far we have one victory this season and we will definitely be looking for a positive outcome.”

Striker Christopher Wasalasala who will have to miss another match this weekend as he is serving a suspension will be available for the next game for Labasa.

Tavua battles Labasa 1.30pm this Saturday 1.30pm and on the same day Suva hosts Nadi 6pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Two matches will be played on Sunday as Tavua faces Dreketi 1.30pm at Subrail Park while Ba travel to Ratu Cakobau Park to face a wounded Rewa side.
