With A return to sports after the COVID-19 stoppage, the Fiji national netball and under-21 teams will attend a series of training camps over the next fortnight.

These sessions are the first two training sessions from July until November to allow the players to get back into formal training sessions post COVID-19 following lifting of restrictions,” said NetGo Country co-ordinator Unaisi Rokoura, who will also run the training camps.

“Following a fitness test for the national squad last month, Netball Fiji will now regroup its two squads in training camps in Suva this Saturday July 18 and in Lautoka next Saturday July 25.”

The current squad include players from the 2019 World Cup team such as Matila Vocea, Laisani Waqa, Alisi Qalo, Lydia Panapasa, Ema Mualuvu, Aliti Toribau and Episake Kahatoka.

Returning to the squad are seasoned players, Alesi Waqa, Vaiti Waqatabu, Nina Cirikisuva and Alisi Naqiri.

Also to join are 20 members from the U21 squad following last year’s National Championships and identified prospects through the talent identification program.

All athletes are requested to attend the closest training camp and contact Lusi on 9920973 for further details.
