TRAFFIC studies are expected to be conducted in Nadi, Lautoka and Ba to determine factors which result in congestion.
Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) CEO Jonathan Moore said the studies would also allow them to understand traffic patterns to facilitate planned FRA initiatives to reduce congestion.
One of these initiatives is believed to be the four-lane project between Nadi and Lautoka.
Mr Moore said there was also allowance for detailed engineering studies for four-lane between Nadi International Airport and Lautoka City, as well as Nadi Back Rd.
According to Mr Moore, this would involve the widening of the existing Queens Rd and a few new sections.
