Tower Insurance will now be able to leverage off Post Fiji’s extensive network as collection centres for premiums.

This comes after the two organisations formed a bill payment partnership allowing customers all over Fiji to pay their premiums at Post Fiji’s 58 outlets.

According to Tower Insurance head of Pacific Digital Distribution Veilawa Rereiwasaliwa, they were looking forward to this partnership because it complemented their work in the digital space.

“So we had rolled out a digital insurance platform early last year for our motor vehicle products,” he said.

“And we’re looking at putting our house and content products next month on to the digital platform.

“Now, acknowledging Fiji the way it is, we still need physical presence in the market.

“And the best company to partner with is Post Fiji, who has the largest distribution network in the country.”

He said the two companies had similar histories in terms of the number of years they had invested in Fiji and they were going to spend a lot more in the future.

“And so, this is quite a key partnership for us and for an established company like Post Fiji.

“This isn’t the beginning of our partnership.

“We also use the printing and the statement services that they have based out of Laucala.

“So this is the next part of the services that we’re using and we’re looking forward to using the other services and leveraging off their large distribution network in the future.”

Post Fiji CEO Dr Anirudha Bansod acknowledged Tower Insurance for giving them the opportunity to be a part of this bill pay arrangement.

“As of today, we have almost 50 agencies that are onboard, who deal with the bill pay services and Tower Insurance coming onboard is very credential for Post Fiji that our services have really been admired by the corporates like you,” he said.

“We are sincerely thankful for you as well as your management team for trusting in Post Fiji’s bill pay services.

“Insurance is a tough business and, especially, it is at the incubation stage in the Fiji market.”

He said Post Fiji was looking forward for new companies to come onboard so they could deliver the required services.

“The beauty, as usual, with Post Fiji is always to have the widest distribution network of 58 post shops.

“And that really helps the customers to facilitate the payments from any of the post outlets.

“They don’t have to worry about cyber-crime or stealing money through the cyber issues.”

He said this was a straightforward business and whatever payment Post Fiji collected from customers was given to the corporates at a 100 per cent rate in a timely manner.

“And you will be surprised that the amount we collect on bill pay is in multimillion dollars.

“And we ensure that each and every cent has been repaid back to the companies.”
