Totogo case: Police officers cautioned and released

THE two police officers who were in custody for their alleged involvement in the death of a 26-year-old Joseua Lalauvaki have been released.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said following the meeting with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution’s (ODPP) this morning, the two police officers have been cautioned and released.

“Investigators have been advised to complete all necessary processes of the investigation and compile the file for submission to the DPP’s Office for sanctioning,” Ms Naisoro said.

Lalauvaki succumbed to his injuries last Thursday, October 11. 2018, at the CWM hospital in Suva.

Police are treating the case as murder.
