Totogo case: Police await legal advice from ODPP

POLICE will await the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution’s (ODPP) independent legal advice in the death of the 26-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted by police officers before taking the next course of action.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the investigation file into the death of the Joseua Lalauvaki  who died after he was allegedly assaulted by two police officers was submitted to the ODPP yesterday afternoon.

Lalauvaki succumbed to his injuries last Thursday, October 11. 2018, at the CWM hospital in Suva.

Police are treating the case as murder.
