THE inevitable changes and transitions occurring in the various facets of society, be it businesses or the economy as a whole, one must ponder how to cope and adapt accordingly.

The Top Executives (TOPEX) Conference this year focuses on this and sets discussions around the theme: “Change and Transitions; Readiness and Resistance”.

The 2018 TOPEX was launched in Suva yesterday by the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), also calling for top executives from the private and public sector to be in attendance.

The annual event features executives from both the private and public sector, with a range of international speakers that speak on key thematic areas.

According to TOPEX chairperson Eseta Nadakuitavuki, the theme for the conference was one which was broad enough to cover the different industries in Fiji.

She said the conference scheduled for June 22 to 23 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa would formulate outcomes to move the Fijian economy and local businesses forward.

Taking the conference to another notch this year, Ms Nadakuitavuki said a diverse host of speakers both local and international would be featured at this year’s TOPEX.

“We’ve got an exciting program, and we would like to take this time to thank the sponsors who have confirmed their sponsorship in cash and kind,” she said.

“I would also take this time to invite all the executives from the private sector and also the public sector to come and attend the conference.”

With about two months away, Ms Nadakuitavuki said a tentative TOPEX conference agenda had been set that would guide the activities and discussions during two-day event.

About 200 delegates are anticipated to attend the event which is expected to be opened by Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum who has confirmed his availability.

Registrations have also opened for the TOPEX conference this year.
