Top golfers in Lautoka battle

NATIONAL golf rep Roneel Prakash and Raymond Singh will be the front runners in the Chinese Palace Restaurant-sponsored 18 holes two-men stroke Ambrose event at the Golf Links on Monday.
The ever popular event format will see the participation of the cream of top golfers from the Western Division.
Other notables include part winners in the partnership form of James Krishna/Gaffar Ali, Vijay Ram/Suren Pillay, Zabir Ali/Lawrence Benjamin, Bobby Reddy/Chong Lee.
Nadi Airport Golf Club president Munesh Prasad will team up with Praneel Prasad, Apennisa Koroicure and James Leger, together with Sunia Radovu/Captain Bill Gardiner will be all out to stake claim for the main title.
Sponsor and club president Chong Lee has boosted the event with more than $1000 worth of prizes for the day-long event.
Meanwhile, veteran Zabir Ali is once again in top form to take out the Diwali Cup-18 holes stroke event tomorrow, sponsored by Anil’s Egg Distributors.
Club vice-captain – Suren Pillay has confirmed that both the events will be the preclude to the upcoming Shreedhar Motors-Ford-sponsored 85th Lautoka Open Golf Championship to be played over 27 holes on Saturday, November 12. This will give all participants to test out the Golf Links fairways and greens.
