THE Tonga Residents rugby league team diverted away from their scheduled to visit the Colonial War Memorial Hospital Children’s Ward today.

Handing out books and small presents Tonga coach Sione Tukuafu said they had been humbled with the opportunity to visit the children.

“How grateful we are for the opportunity to come and visit the children here at the hospital,” Tukuafu said.

“We are very fortunate that we are able to play sports.

“This visit will definitely help us with our grounding and will be something we take with us on to the field.”

Tonga Residents will play the Vodafone Finish Bati Residents this Saturday in the last match of their tri-series.
