The country has recorded yet another drowning incident, the most recent involving a three-year-old who drowned at the Wailoku river yesterday.

Fiji has recorded eight drowning deaths this month where most of the victims were children.

Benjamine Qalowasa, who was part of the search team yesterday, said he was shocked when he saw a body floating in the river.

The 15-year-old and boys from the area assisted police in locating the body.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the victim was at home before the tragedy.
