TWELVE Fijians of Indian descent have been recruited into the iTaukei Land Trust Board.

Board chief executive officer Tevita Kuruvakadua said this would help them communicate better with Hindi-speaking tenants.

“Sometime when Hindi speaking tenants visit TLTB, some of the staff cannot understand them so there is a need to have staff who speak Hindi to address their needs,” Mr Kuruvakadua said.

“They also assist a lot when we go out for public consultations in communities where majority of TLTB tenants can only understand the Hindi language.”
