AS part of their corporate social responsibility, the staff of Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) recently paid a visit to the Colonial War Memorial Hospitals Oncology Unit to support those that were going through the toughest of times.

In a statement issued today FRA Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore said they appreciate some patients are having a really tough time and they wanted to help put a smile on their faces, particularly at this time of year.

“My staff have raised about $500 from which we bought gift packs made of toiletries and other essentials. We are happy to see a lot of survivors and we are praying for those that continue to fight this courageous battle,” Mr Moore said.

He said this visit is part of their corporate social responsibility and they will be carrying out similar activities in the Western and Northern Division.

CWM Hospitals Acting Head of Oncology, Dr Kelera Sakumeni said they were enormously grateful for the kind gifts.

“We thank the FRA for presenting these timely gift packs so generously and making them feel so special. These visits are very uplifting for all of us and helps us stay motivated and positive.”
