SUVA bowler Litia Tikoisuva is hoping to retain her title in this year’s Raj Charan National Open Singles at the Suva bowling club greens in Nasese, Suva.

Tikoisuva, who is also preparing for the Worlds Singles champions of champions in Australia, said winning the tournament would be a bonus for her as she is preparing to travel to Australia at the end of this month.

“This annual tournament (National Open Singles) is like a selection meet for the World Champions of champions, so since I won it last year I will be representing Fiji later this month and if I win it again this year I will again represent Fiji next year,” said Tikoisuva.

“Defending the title will not be hard because we got all the good bowlers and Fiji reps that are here.

“In bowls you cannot confidently say you will win because it is anybody’s game, a new bowler can just come in and be the new winner.”
