Nai Lalakai — is the vernacular newspaper published by The Fiji Times for the iTaukei people in Fiji.

The first Nai Lalakai newspaper was published in 1962.

This newspaper has been running in its 55th year.

It is one of the publications that The Fiji Times Ltd is proud to have.

The Nai Lalakai is the only iTaukei newspaper published in Fiji and around the world.

We are published every Wednesday.

Our target audience:

iTaukei people in the villages, settlements and living in overseas.

Content:

Our aim is to publish news that our readers like to read. So we write articles and stories that are close to the heart and soul of every indigenous person in Fiji.

So we came up with these issues that we feel are of interest to our target readers:

• Land (security and source of livelihood for the people);

• Religion (faith);

• Culture and tradition/history;

• Development and politics; and

• Sports.
