ORGANISERS are expecting a tough competition in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League quarter-finals this weekend at St Marcellin Primary School grounds.

The battle will be between John Wesley College and Marist Brothers High school in the under-19 grade.

Defending champion Nasinu Secondary School will take on Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, Ratu Kadavulevu will meet Assemblies of God High School and Queen Victoria School will take on Naitasiri Secondary School.

Fiji National Rugby League acting chief executive officer Don Natabe thanked the executives for their support in grooming young players who have now represented the Fiji Bati.

“The future of our secondary school rugby league is quite promising and now we’re embarking on a junior Fiji Bati HPU program that will begin during the school holidays,” he said.

He acknowledge the committee for supporting the Fiji Bati pathway.
