A SIGH of relief it is for women who sell food at the Labasa Market after the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation provided three tents for customers.

The ministry’s senior officer Fulori Isabella encouraged the women to continue with their tireless dedication and commitment in supporting their families.

“We all have one goal of coming here and that is to earn money to support our families and our minister (Mereseini Vuniwaqa) has helped out,” she said.

“She knows how important your roles are so let’s work together to support our families.”

Labasa Market Association president Salanieta Bola said the tents would help them greatly, especially as the festive season approached.

“We asked the Minister for Women, Mereseini Vuniwaqa, for the tents and we are just grateful that it didn’t take her long to give us the donation,” she said.

“Most times, customers will stand outside and eat under the sun when the eating area is full and there were no tents provided for them.

“But now, we can have customers sitting comfortably in these tents to enjoy their meals.”
