Update: 12:24PM TENANTS have been advised to demarcate their land boundaries with permanent markers to prevent disputes.

Speaking to lessees in the Wailevu Tiri area in Labasa during the Ministry of Lands consultation this week, Divisional Lands Officer North Joseva Vuniamatana said they received a lot of complaints from tenants regarding land boundaries.

“It is the duty of the original tenant to indicate the land boundary of his lease to the incoming tenant before any transfer can take place,” Mr Vuniamatana said.

“As a buyer, you should demand the land boundary peg before formalising any transfer.”
