Free meals will be available for everyone at the Samabula Sikh temple until tomorrow (Thursday) to commemorate Baisakhi.

Samabula Sikh temple president Balbir Singh Khanpur said they were honoured to host the Baisakhi festival after COVID-19.

“We are really happy as we get to meet our families and members from different parts of Viti Levu as we couldn’t do so for nearly one year,” he said.

Baisakhi festival marks the beginning of spring month and farmers of Punjab harvest their wheat crop this month which brings happiness and prosperity to their lives.
