ABOUT 1121 employees of the Flour Mills of Fiji Ltd (FMF Ltd) had their first ever company sports day at the newly refurbished Albert Park in Suva yesterday.
According to FMF Ltd managing director Ram Bajekal it was an opportunity for all their employees nation-wide to come together also to meet and get to know their colleagues.
“We are such a large group of companies with 1121 employees but there are seldom in opportunities where everybody gets together,” Bajekal said.
He said they just took a bit of break to have some bonding activities between their staff members.
“We have some organised games like rugby, soccer and volleyball where we have teams from the various sections competing against one another.”
He said the competition was also a selection ground for their soccer and rugby teams who would be participating in the local Suva club games next year. He added that their sports day marked a holiday for the company nation-wide and it was also the beginning of their new journey in making a stronger FMF together.
