Digicel is offering their prepaid customers free and unlimited Digicel to Digicel calls and SMS for the next three days starting Friday, December 18, at 5pm.

“Digicel knows how vital it is at times like this that they keep people connected and take that responsibility very seriously,” Digicel Fiji CEO Farid Mohammed said in a press statement today.

The Digicel network continued to provide service and became the only means of communication for many mobile users in Vanua Levu at the height of category 5 Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

“Despite the torrential rain and cat 5 cyclone winds, our network was operational in most part of Vanua Levu.”

“There is some damage to our cell sites in Vanua Levu and services are disrupted in isolated areas of Labasa, Bua, and Savusavu.

“Our technical team is on the ground in Vanua Levu and doing all they can to assist to restore services to affected customers.”

Customers can dial *555# and choose option 4 to activate their free and unlimited Digicel to Digicel calls.

The mobile company also acknowledged its customers’ patience and understanding and encouraged everyone to focus on staying safe during these times.
