STRONG currents are now being experienced in Levuka.

However, heavy rain and strong winds have slowly died down.

Meli Waqakula said earlier this morning, they had experienced strong winds associated with rain.

He said they had now taken precautionary measures and were now tuned in to the radio for the latest weather updates.
