TC Josie: Overnight rainfall cause for concern

Update: 11:48AM WEATHER forecasters warn heavy rains will continue to affect the group atop of already high rainfall records from the past few days.

In its 10.30am bulletin, the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi said heavy rain would continue to affect the whole country as Category 1 Tropical Cyclone Josie tracks towards Kadavu.

The following rainfall was recorded around the country;

  • Nadi: 153mm
  • Nacocolevu: 130mm
  • Viwa: 104mm
  • Labasa: 61mm
  • Nausori: 87 mm
  • Monasavu: 124 mm
  • Lautoka: 188 mm
  • Penang: 55 mm
  • Matei: 54 mm
  • Vanuabalavu: 89 mm
  • Matuka: 53 mm
  • Lomaivuna: 55 mm
  • RKS:97 mm
  • Keiyasi: 166 mm
  • Sigtoka: 104 mm
  • Momi: 116 mm
  • Tavua: 70 mm
  • Yaqara: 64 mm
  • Rakiraki: 52 mm
