LAND Transport Authority CEO Samuel Simpson says the ongoing issues between permanent city base taxidrivers and new permit holders is a Lautoka City Council matter.

Mr Simpson said the council needed to address the issue.

“This is a matter of concern for Lautoka City Council, not the LTA,” he said to this newspaper.

“The taxi operators in the area are paying base fees to Lautoka City Council and they need to look into this.”
