THE Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will try and improve from the mistakes of the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship before the start of the 2017-2018 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
The Iliesa Tanivula-coached side was bundled out of the main women’s semi-final by New Zealand 0-24.
The Kiwis ran in four tries through Michaela Blyde, Theresa Fizpatrick, Portia Woodman and Gayle Broughton.
Fiji skipper Ana Maria Roqica said: “We failed to use our chance and we allowed New Zealand to take control of the game.
“There is still time to recover and improve from our mistakes and that is what we will do before the start of the series.”
Fijiana finished in third position after beating Papua New Guinea 39-0 for the third and fourth play-off.
