The Fiji 7s team has become the talk of the town at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, especially with its entirely new outfit for the 2021/2022 season.

“There has been a lot of talk,” Fuli said.

“From teams that we are camping together and chats with other coaches, there has been a lot of talk that Fiji has brought a lot of new faces.”

Fuli said the reaction had both been one of surprise as well as awe in what has been seen as another new chapter for Fiji 7s to unveil future household names.

“They have been really impressed on how we have transformed and gone into the new cycle of bringing new players for international exposure.”

Meanwhile, Fuli said with nippy halfback Terio Tamani missing the first tournament, he had to make tactical changes.

“That is the role of a coach to make those changes and we have to make due with the options available.

“We will have to alter the line-up to ensure we cover all the positions.”

Tamani departed the country on Thursday night to join the side in the second tournament that will be held at the same venue next weekend. He has wished the side well for the game this weekend.

“Yes, even though I am not playing this weekend, I have given all my best wishes and support my teammates this weekend,” he said.
