Talks to review the Real Estate Agents Act 2006

TALKS are in progress to review the Real Estate Agents Act 2006 this financial year.

Real Estate Agents Licensing Board chairman Abdul Hassan said the board with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and their various strategic partners were working on the review.

Speaking to real estate agents and salespersons at the 2018 Real Estate conference for agents and salespersons at the Pearl Resort this morning, Mr

Hassan said the board supported the regulation of continuous professional development for the agents and salespersons in the industry.

“In recent times REALB has had continuos dialogue with the industry players, through various talanoa sessions, workshops, individual discussions to finally develop the code of ethics for real estate agents and salespersons,” he said.

Mr Hassan said the code had gone through the legal vetting stages and now with the ministry for final approval.
