TEAMS competing at the Sydney 7s competition from today will be hoping that the Fiji Airways Fiji side will not play their best game at the tournament this weekend.

History has witnessed that whenever the Fijians play fearlessly and with confidence, they are close to being unstoppable.

A very good example is last weekend’s Hamilton 7s, the victory still fresh in the minds of Fijians around the world.

On the finals day in New Zealand, the Gareth Baber-coached side scored 100 points in three games, conceding only 14.

They scored 16 tries and conceded two, keeping USA scoreless in the final (38-nil).

Fiji plays Japan in its first match at 12.34pm today before taking on England at 6.02pm.

Their last match is against Samoa at 10.07pm.
