Suva Zone One: Namosi Secondary takes home girls title

Crowd favourite Namosi Secondary School was crowned the new overall girls’ champions at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone One meet dethroning Dudley High School at the ANZ Stadium today.

Namosi Secondary School team manager  Atunaisa Waqaicelua commended his athletes for the effort and said he would let his team celebrate the achievement before focusing on the Coca-Cola Games.

The win is dedicated to all supporters of team Namosi, the hard work has paid off but we are only halfway there,” said Waqaicelua.

Namosi ended the meet with a strong finish topping the medal tally with  11 gold, nine silver and 2 bronze medals.

Ballentine Memorial School finished a strong second with nine gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze medals.

Ratu Sukuna Memorial School came in third place with seven gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
